INFORMATION
The Ocelot Foxhound LPPV was created especially to satisfy the demands of the UK MoD’s £200 million LPPV program and replace the Snatch Land Rovers already in use by the army. The Snatch Land Rovers have come under fire for their failure to protect occupants in Iraq and Afghanistan from IEDs and roadside bombs.
Under the name Team Ocelot, Ricardo and Force Protection Europe (FPE) have collaboratively developed the Ocelot vehicle. Formaplex, DSG, Thales, QinetiQ, and Sula are the collaborators. As part of the Land 121 phase 4 project, it has also been de-selected for the Australian protected mobility vehicle – light (PMV-L).
