The Pave Hawk is a significantly upgraded version of the Army Black Hawk helicopter that has satellite communications, secure voice, Have Quick communications, integrated inertial navigation, global positioning, and Doppler navigation systems.The automatic flight control system, night vision goggles with lights, and forward facing infrared system that are standard equipment on all HH-60Gs significantly improve low-level night operations. The HH-60G is equipped for severe weather thanks to Pave Hawks’ color weather radar and engine/rotor blade anti-ice technology. A retractable in-flight refueling probe, internal auxiliary fuel tanks, two crew-served 7.62mm or.50 caliber machineguns, and an 8,000-pound (3,600 kilogram) capacity cargo hook are all part of the Pave Hawk mission kit. All HH-60Gs have foldable rotor blades to enhance air transportability and maritime operations.
