The H145, originally known as the BK 117, is based on the MBB/Kawasaki BK 117 C1, which joined the united Eurocopter line-up in 1992 after Messerschmitt-Bölkow-helicopter Blohm’s division of Daimler-Benz merged with Eurocopter.
